Here is the link to the idea … http://www.refresheverything.ca/groveontario (Voting can be daily, one vote per day from May 1st to June 30, 2011, & the top 4 ideas in each category get the funding)… p.s. If you would like to help feed Trumpeter Swans, send Sari an email to grove@sent.com & if we get the grant we will arrange to help you pay for the food… Here is where I am with the Trumpeter Swan Sculpture…
Materials: 12 lbs. Apoxie Sculpt Super White, 1lb. black Apoxie Sculpt, 8.5 lbs Winterstone plus 1 lb. reinforcing glass fibres 1/2 inch size, 8.5 lbs. Winterstone with 1/4 inch fibres, 33 lbs. Winterstone with 4 lbs. 1/2 inch glass fibres (not completely laid on yet in picture)…3 unravelled coat hangers, 48 feet chicken wire, Sisal rope, dust masks, non-latex gloves, blue recycling bin for mixing, Oakley Dartboard sunglasses clear & pink for eye protection, water, foil pan, tables, room, light, patience…began: I began this project around Valentine’s Day 2011, Feb. 14… So far it has been about 3 months of work…(you have to layer the Winterstone slowly, letting it dry in between laying it on, so work cannot be continuous…This makes for a better sculpture though in the end…)
Happy Note: C17 & L23(Trumpeter Swan friends) have discovered the beach at Bluffers Park, which I was hoping they would! This means they have somewhere nice to sit upon, since the Bay at Bluffers is all groynes (rocks to prevent erosion) & it is hard to get on land when groynes are present…)
Note about medicine: That new surgery for multiple sclerosis is still highly questionable… Instead, why not invest your time in getting some Vitamin D? Multiple sclerosis is non-existent in hot sunny climates- take a hint & get outside with your coconut oil & a bathing suit & cook yourself well… Save yourself a bundle of money & a dangerous operation…You can order Vitamin D patches online, you can also get Vitamin D chews from Shoppers Drug Mart- I eat them like candy, yum!
btw…(Also, Vitamin D has applications for ALS & Parkinson’s disease too)…*Joseph & I got so much sun last summer (in Toronto!) that we still have tan lines, even though winter is just ending now…
