Action for happiness…I did a survey today after joining…

Ok, I added a floor to the budget upcycled Trumpeter Swan nest/waterbird feeder…If you attached empty sealed milk jugs plastic it makes the nest floatable, if you attach an extra plastic bag to the edge you get a handle to carry it…leave in trunk of car to pour wild bird seed on when feeding Trumpeters or other waterbirds…I have checked waterbirds for knowledge of plastic- they do know what it is & won’t eat it…(They will prod through a plastic bag of waterbird/ wild bird seed but not eat or ingest the bag…)

Belanna presses the volume all the way to silence button when I play loud computer music… Then she hits the down arrow key so I can no longer read the lyrics to sing loud the song I was singing along to…Finally she leans against the open telephone line button on our phone & with her butt smushes against all the keys so it starts dialing randomly… She knows someone will answer eventually…& thus I was thwarted in my attempts to learn the song Burn it to the Ground by Nickelback off by heart, as well as the Peaches song The boys want to be her…It is just as well… Maybe both were a little inappropriate for me too… Hum…Ho…Back to Christine Kane… Here http://www.amazon.com/Wide-Awake-Christine-Kane/dp/B002QVBP9Q new album Wide Awake works just fine…LIsten to your bengal… They know music…

The budget conscious guide to making an artificial nest for Trumpeter Swans…

40 inch diameter, 3 inch thick edge, re-used wild bird seed bags, heavy duty Sisal cord, 1 43 inch diameter hula hoop(hula hoop is not in picture-these are just plastic bags strung together- squishy) to guide my shape (keep it all elliptical-ish)…
prototype number 5 Trumpeter Swan Nest…(based on the theory that the elliptical shape is pleasing to the eye & teaches nest building techniques to young Cygnets…) Also can be practically used as an edge for a pile of straw, so it doesn’t blow away as easily…water-resistant, can be also floated with the attachment of sealed empty milk plastic bottle jugs…
Note: prototype number 5, is compatible with prototype number 4, & prototype number 0…(5 is the edge, 4 is the floor, 0 is the straw wrapped donut shape bulky elliptical donut)…(5 could also go UNDER 0 to waterproof it better for winter…)(or alone)…
Throw one of these in the trunk of your car, when you feed wild bird seed, it provides a frame of reference so the Trumpeters know where the seed is… Visually…

You can keep some of these neat bandages in your glove compartment or purse for when or if you need to bandage say a Trumpeter swan’s knee after you remove the fish hook from it…The bandage sticks to itself & looks nice…It will give support to an injured joint like a knee…I am awaiting my order…Maybe Trumpeter Swan rescuers might want to include this in their pack…? Just a suggestion…

Here are some of my answers from their survey…(The Happy people)…(Called “Action for Happiness” actually)…

I sing when I am by myself & no one is listening but me…I make art for a living…I married a gorgeous guy who I am still attracted to…I had a Daddy who was a doctor & he provided well for our family…My mum loves animals & people & green things & we have lots of all that…My brother is very smart & good at business…His family is perfect…His wife has a big career…I have intact bengal lady cats from different litters, & I figured out how to keep them for the past six years without having to spay them…I have been feeding Trumpeter Swans wild bird seed from my hands at Lake Ontario this winter…There are horses at the family farm called Eldorado…I have long hair, have my health, & like myself…I am messy on purpose…

feed Trumpeter Swans wild bird seed in winter & help to weave artificial nests for them & save the beavers who make beaver lodges which a swan will sometimes nest on when the beaver leaves…

People are tired of leaders…Happiness & leaders don’t go together much…At least not recently…

Organizing happiness is like herding cats…Happiness is better when spontaneous & unorganised…(ed. note: btw I wrote this mistake on purpose- I know dis-organised)…

I’m a self-employed visual artist

I was born…That was great…very grateful to be here…Always have been…

What will your answers be when you join the Action for Happiness & fill out their short survey?

About GroveCanada

Artist Statement: I like to push...Push the fold...Innovate...Figure out how to do something then figure out how to do it even better...I get bored once I accomplish something...I can’t seem to make multiples...Once it is done, it is done ; I am not going to make another one...This can hurt profitability...But I feel the paradigm of repetitive production is obsolete...I see a future where pure intellectual innovation will be rewarded without the need to commercialize it somehow...I wonder about the Star Trek idea of a new culture where money is not the driving force...I live that future already... Bio: Sari is an optimist by nature, someone who always sees the sunny side of things, even if there is no sunny side really...She grew up with two wonderful parents & a great brother...Later she married the very best guy in the world, another artist named Joseph Grove...She likes art because it is for her a happy place to be...A place where joy can reside...So she decided to make art herself because that was the nicest thing she thought she could do for people’s lives...I’d tell you more about angst or strife or misery or struggling, but really, that was not the case...But perhaps, because I am Sari ; I am writing this, my perception is warped by my extreme positivity...But, to tell you the truth, life has been good... p.s.You can read more about my credentials on my main website at http://www.grovecanada.ca ...But I have left a few things out, credential-wise... My feeling is:"By their fruits, ye shall know them" which is from the New Testament, Book of Mathew(7, 16-20)... So read my books ; see if the fruit tastes good to you...I feel those are better credentials than telling you something on a resume... p.p.s. I am a Christian...Whatever that word means to you...

On the subject of GMO corn, which may seem unrelated, but is related, insofar as bad business practices cannot get corrected if artists don’t vote with their wallets…If you don’t like what galleries are doing , then stop giving them free things like CDs of your art, free images online, free art postcards, free visits in person etc. if you don’t like the commission the gallery is taking then renegotiate or leave, yes WALK out that door…here is what I want to say about GMO corn, cause I am pissed off about this today…
    -response to Tomato Snob blog…
I just found out that most of the corn on the market right now is GMO…The next day I got an article link on my Facebook stream about how 3 different strains of GMO corn caused organ damage in rats…Today we bought corn to feed waterbirds from a local store who sources corn locally…We both ate a niblet of the dried whole untreated bird feed grade corn while feeding waterbirds…It tasted GMO…Just because it was local didn’t mean it wasn’t GMO…If I can get an organic product that is not locally grown I will consider it…We have to teach Canadians not to settle for GMO seeds…If it means taking our business elsewhere, then so be it…I am not going to settle for GMO local corn if I can force my local farmer into paying more to make his farm organic…

  2. The artificial Trumpet Swan nest can also be a toilet or birdfeeder, & can be used as a base to put another layer on top like a woven sisal nest & then a straw layer…
The word artificial denotes that it was made by somebody besides a Trumpet swan- but they will adapt it to their own choosing, which makes it their own…Can also serve as triage lift if you upgrade the design to stronger materials & add handles …
Art, the word, refers to artificial, which is what people do when they have wrecked somebody else’s nest & feel guilty or repentant…
Or, if they are fixing other people’s screw-ups…
At any rate, Art is what I am doing by creating an artificial Trumpet Swan nest/waterbird feeder/toilet/triage lift design…To make up for loss of nests & habitat by humans who are too stupid to care about where they trespass…

  3. My brother’s dog ate a plastic bag…He poohed it out…Not as scary as you might have thought…Ok, he did it more than once- coprophagia is common in wild animals who seek to hide evidence of their path from predators…Tusker was a Bernese Mountaiin Dog…

  4. * the zinc in cigarettes does not cause cancer, but does cause bipolar illness…It is the lead-based birth control pill which you took to offset the zinc overload that caused the cancer…Zinc & lead are opposites which live in your thyroid
    gland…
    Bipolar is cured by:
    cheap: lead-based lithium/lepidolite jewelry
    moderate cost: iron/marcasite-pyrite jewelry
    expensive: B12/copal amber jewelry
Note: the wearing of mineral jewelry allows constant reverse-osmosis of nutrients back into the skin 24 hours a day without the same dangers of overdosing that supplement carry…
P.s. pink tourmaline contains manganese which is the true opposite to iron in the thymus…Manganese is the purest cause of bipolar, because it depletes iron, causing anemia…Iron & manganese are opposite…
*B12/copal amber beads is used for a broken neck or spine…Bugs contain protein B-12 & copal contains resin which knits neural tubes back together…Trees’ blood contains resin…
*cigarette smokers often are dieting & enter anemia-thus triggering bipolar which is just anemia…B12, Iron, Lead are all metals that correct anemia- in different organs…
    *B12 is a neuron replenisher…also relieves pain…
